What if you stretched past the impossible?

Hebrews 4:16 reads, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

This verse speaks of the access Christians have to our Heavenly Father. We can confidently come to him at any time for any reason and receive the mercy and grace we so desperately need.

And how do we do this? We do this when we pray.

Unfortunately, though, many of us do not come before God in prayer. And even fewer come confidently.

What do you need from the Lord today?

If you’re like me, you have countless burdens; burdens and concerns for yourself and for those you love.

I like to bring the reality of this scripture into my prayer time by praying through a mental picture. As I lift up each prayer burden to the Lord, I picture my hand stretching past a high pile of impossibilities and reaching right into God’s throne room. I then proceed to pray for each request thanking him that nothing is impossible with Christ seated on his throne.

We all struggle with different piles of impossibilities. These piles work to block our prayers from reaching the throne room of God.

Some of these include condemnation, fear, and doubt, to name a few.

Maybe you’re struggling with the size of your battle. It may have been going on for so long that, frankly, you’re worn out.

Some have been told there is no hope. That it’s doubtful God can answer this prayer.

Keep in mind that Satan himself creates these obstacles, these piles.

Even he knows the power we have when we confidently come before God in prayer.

Whatever impossible pile you’re facing, know that on the other side is Christ, sitting victoriously on his throne, ready to meet your every need. His mercy and grace are available today.

Don’t let Satan’s lies of impossibility rob you of answered prayer.

No pile is worth that.

Reach out your hand to God’s throne room today.

What if you prayed?
