What if we prayed during difficult times?
What do you do when life doesn’t make sense?
Do you trust God even when life seems out of control, when it throws out unwanted punches?
How do you pray during uncertain times?
Do you even pray?
What is your faith based on?
Is it based on God or is it based on what you see or what you don’t see?
Do you need to understand what God is doing in order to trust in him and his working power?
Do you need to understand what God is doing in order to trust in him and his working power? Click To TweetDifficult and confusing times can shake our faith. They cause us to doubt God.
They can even lead us to stop praying.
Isaiah 55:9 tells us “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
God is God. Period. Who are we to question him?
We will never fully understand why he does what he does.
And we don’t need to.
He is God and we are not.
If we do continue to pray and trust him, we can be confident of this, though: Whatever we’re facing, God is lovingly working, not only in our lives but also in the lives of those we love.
He is working in ways that only he can, for our good.
During difficult times, when you do not understand, continue to lift your concerns up to God. Trust him. Be assured that God is working in his time, in his way.
You may not fully see what he is doing so keep your eyes on him, not on the uncertain difficulties you’re facing.
Stand firm in your prayers. Know that God is God. He is able.
He works as only he can to accomplish that which only he can accomplish.
